When Kathryn Griffin graduated from Melbourne University with a shiny new law degree in 1986, there was one female partner among the 50 law firms in Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula – and not one female sole practitioner.
However, it never occurred to her that Drysdale and the Bellarine Peninsula area was the wrong place to be – after all, Drysdale and Newcomb are named after early pioneer women.
In 1988, Kathryn commenced legal services in Drysdale and 30 years later has three generations of families across Portarlington, Curlewis, St Leonards, Drysdale and Clifton Springs turning to KG Lawyers for help with their legal problems, from conveyancing to probate administration and mortgage advice.
Having come to the Bellarine Peninsula with a young family, she prides herself on providing personalised, people-focused legal advice.
